CUSTOMIZE YOUR SERVICE INTERVALS
Here at Circle Auto we feel a responsibility to our customers, as well as our environment to increase efficiency in all levels of automotive service. Setting service intervals for your vehicle can help you, the customer, to keep track of vehicle maintenance and avoid unneeded service expenses. It will also ensure your vehicle is running at peak efficiency and provide an increase in fuel mileage.
The majority of vehicles in the Washington Metropolitan area fall under the Severe Service Schedule. This is due to the amount of stop and go traffic and excessive idling that we all experience in this area's congested roadways. This kind of operation wears heavily on engines and mechanical components.
As a rule of thumb if your vehicle is under 75,000 miles you should have your car in for service at least three times a year. Now, if the vehicle is over 75,000 miles or is an older model it should be serviced at least four times a year. Service should include all of the manufacturer's required maintenance, as well as an overall inspection, including an inspection of filter condition, all the vehicles fluids, and tire pressure. In this area we recommend a 3,000 mile interval for oil changes on models using conventional oils and a 5,000 mile interval for models using synthetic oils.
